Two Free Webinars for STAR's Translation Software
STAR Group will be offering two free webinars in June: An introduction to the information management platform GRIPS, and how to handle fuzzy matches in Transit NXT.
See below for more details and how to register.
Precise Matches: How do I work with fuzzy matches?
Fuzzy matches are an important aid for segments that have already been translated in a similar way. To ensure that you receive only those translation suggestions that actually help you, you can adjust the fuzzy settings to suit your requirements and your project.
This webinar explains which settings are possible for fuzzy matches and how you can use fuzzy matches efficiently.
We will start the webinar with the various fuzzy settings. You will find out how and where you can change the settings to suit your personal requirements. We will then show you how fuzzy matches can help you in your translation work. You will learn how best to use the fuzzy window and how you can use the best variants if translation variants exist. You will also find out how Transit can automatically adapt translation suggestions.
For translators, either without previous knowledge or with very little previous knowledge of Transit
This webinar is aimed both at participants who have no previous knowledge of Transit and those who have little experience of working in the Transit editor. You are in the right place if you want to find out how to deal with fuzzy matches or want to make better use of fuzzy matches.
