STAR Group receives the IT Innovation Prize
Initiative Mittelstand, the German Association for Small and Medium-sized Businesses, sponsored by the Beauftragte der Bundesregierung für Informationstechnik (Federal Commissioner for Information Technology) and by IBM Deutschland GmbH, has recently awarded the “IT Innovation Prize†to the STAR Group for their GRIPS application, chosen from among more than 2500 submissions.
In awarding this prize, Initiative Mittelstand recognises the continuing commitment of the STAR Group to innovation, synonymous with competitiveness, not only in the field of translation but also in the development of tools intended for content management.
GRIPS is an innovative tool for the management and automated publication of technical information, specifically developed for use in all industrial channels of communication. Companies such as BMW Motorrad, Ferrari, Evobus, Hilti, GDELS Mowag and Rheinmetall Landsysteme GmbH have already entrusted their information management to GRIPS.
GRIPS is based on a dot-matrix storage system in XML format for technical information and allows the production of technical information to be synchronised with the process of design and product manufacture, which makes the work of technical editors enormously easier and drastically cuts the costs for document updates, translation and publication.
We take this opportunity to once again express our appreciation to our customers for the trust they continue to place in STAR as a provider of multilingual services.
If you would like more information about the successful implementation of the system at the customer companies mentioned above, wish to receive one of the studies in Spanish or would like information about technical translation solutions, you can contact us at email@example.com.+ Back to News
