The European Union and Vietnam have agreed terms on a free trade agreement that will remove nearly all tariffs on goods traded between the two economies. EU trade commissioner Cecilia Malmström comments on the agreement: “Vietnam is a growing economy and once this agreement is up and running, it will provide significant new opportunities for companies on both sides, by increasing market access for goods and services.”

Vietnam is predicted to be the fastest growing of the developing economies by 2025, with a potential growth rate of 10% per annum.
