Rolls-Royce Motor Cars is a brand that is world-renowned and is synonymous with luxury, quality and timeless style. STAR UK has been working with Rolls-Royce for several years, ensuring that the brand’s marketing materials convey the same ethos in the emerging markets of Japan and Russia.

Requirements

Rolls-Royce approached STAR in 2014 looking for a reliable, cost-effective solution to their translation needs. As part of an ongoing redevelopment of their training manuals for technicians and aftersales staff, they had a requirement for localised training programmes in 6 major global markets.

The STAR solution

STAR worked closely with Rolls-Royce to ensure a complete understanding of all their requirements in order to tailor a bespoke solution. STAR translated the English text into French, German, Spanish, Italian, Russian and Japanese. Overall co-ordination was handled by senior STAR UK staff, with a project manager being assigned to each language in-country, who was responsible for dealing with all scheduling, terminology and questions. The STAR teams working on Rolls-Royce projects are all automotive experts, with experience of tailoring their work to a specific audience requirement, in this case, trainees.
