We’re proud to say that we are all about people. With the right people in your team, you can do anything. We already have a great team in place, but our recent growth means that we’re looking to expand.

We have a mix of interests, talents and geographical allegiances, but we’ve all got one thing in common: our passion for languages. (oh, make that two things, we all LOVE international cuisine…).

As a group of dedicated polyglots, we’ve got a slightly unhealthy fascination with the nuances of language and we always strive to go the extra mile when working on a customer text. We understand that a good translation is the difference between increased sales and a legion of confused potential customers.

Our office, next to the river in leafy Guildford, is a hub of multilingual activity as between them, our talented translation team translate from German, French, Italian, Spanish, Swedish, Norwegian and Danish into English.

Our project management team come from a variety of backgrounds and have vast experience of providing the best possible customer service.

This in-house team is supported by the other STAR offices who provide translations into their local languages, and also by our network of trusted freelancers who we rely on for certain specialist areas and to add extra translation capacity to our books.

If you think we sound like your kind of company and you think you’ve got what it takes to join our friendly team based in Guildford, Surrey, you can apply to join our network of freelancers or take a look at our in-house vacancies.

We prefer to work with translators who use translation memory software.

Priority will be given to applicants who are willing to use STAR Transit NXT, which can be provided free of charge to regular freelancers, or can be purchased from the STAR Webshop.

We ask all applicants to complete a test translation and to sign our Terms of Business and Confidentiality Agreement on successful completion of the test.
